Some special features of drawing on a dark paper.

The way we draw on the dark and light paper slightly differs. I believe there’s no doubt that a light or a dark line drawn on a dark background looks differently. You will learn about the basics of composition and every workshop participant will acquire extra drawing skills as well as get a practically done artwork in his or her hands. You’ll need 2 or 3 pictures of a landscape to which we will be referring to, pastels and several sheets of dark paper. The color of the sheets should be different. I suggest my students to be creative right from the start - at the point of choosing the reference pictures. At the lesson I will be showing the stages of drawing the artwork and the students will reproduce these stages in their own works. Thus, at the end of the lesson we will have a little exhibit where every participant will be able to reveal his or her original approach and style and share it with all the rest.
