Meet Irina Klimova: ⁣ I've graduated from the Art Department of Moscow Pedagogical University. So I'm an artist and a teacher by profession.⁣ After University I began the career of a designer. I had worked as a digital artist and an art director for many years. However, I was always drawn back to painting and drawing using real art-materials but not only a digital graphics tablet. As a result, now I'm an artist and also I'm a teacher at pastel painting classes and online courses in Moscow, Russia. ⁣ Nowadays one of my favorite medium is soft pastel. ⁣ I'm a member of the National Pastel Society of Russia and Red Rock Pastel Society of Nevada. ⁣ ⁣ Irina about her painting: «On the Kitchen Shelf»⁣: I am a collector of vintage items, interesting bright bottles, and beautiful dishes. When I moved to the new apartment I made a shelf for all these things in my kitchen. I couldn't imagine that it'll be the most wonderful place for my still-lifes, especially in the evening sun. Very often I admired the compositions, glares of the sun, and long shadows. A lot of times I wanted to paint it. I'd finally got round to painting this beautiful composition. I wanted to capture those vibrant and iridescent moods of light on the paper. I hope I succeeded.

During our Zoom workshop, we will create a similar painting and learn Irina's secrets on how to show different textures in still life, also we explore underpainting possibilities with a floral arrangement.
